NCBC Projects
NCBC runs a number of ongoing breastfeeding advocacy programs including the Golden Bow (Ban the Bags) campaign, and Breastfeeding Friendly Workplaces and Businesses. You do not need to be an NCBC member to participate in these advocacy programs.
Golden Bow Award
When hospitals prove that they have stopped distributing formula companies’ discharge bags, North Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition is proud to present them with a Golden Bow Award.
Family Friendly Clinic Award
The Family Friendly Clinic Award for outpatient healthcare clinics is open to any outpatient medical clinic serving pregnant and postpartum women, infants and/or children in North Carolina. Applicants may include Health Departments, Family Medicine, Pediatric, Obstetric, Midwifery, or other types of clinics serving these populations.
Employers & Community Partners Award
NCBC recognizes local companies that support breastfeeding families. In doing this, we distinguish between “Breastfeeding-Friendly Businesses” and “Breastfeeding-Friendly Workplaces”.
