IBCLC Exam Fee Scholarship

Background

The cost of taking the IBLCE exam may be a financial hardship for some candidates. The North Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition is offering TWO needs-based scholarships, not to exceed $1,320.00 per calendar year, to IBLCE exam candidates taking the exam for the first time. Priority will be given to candidates of marginalized communities and candidates planning to serve in underserved areas of NC. Preference will also be given to candidates meeting more than one of the criteria. The scholarship award may be applied to registration for the exam, transportation, meals or lodging directly related to taking the exam. Persons who will receive monies from employers for passing the exam are not eligible for the scholarship.
