Grant Funded Contract Positions Available

North Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition recently received grant funding in the amount of  $56,520 to implement Interventions Supportive of Breastfeeding in the primary care setting. NCBC aims to increase breastfeeding rates among populations at highest risk for health inequities. NCBC’s project will coach primary care providers through a process to 1) increase accessibility of breastfeeding support by medical providers and peer counselors, 2) review breastfeeding protocols, practices and interventions and 3) attain the Mother-Baby Friendly clinic award for outpatient clinics.

The position currently available with the North Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition is a Breastfeeding Peer Support Provider in our southeastern (Region 1) area of the state. Seeking qualified candidates who are members of EBCI for a temporary part time grant funded position (enrolled members preferred). Personal breastfeeding experience is required to become a Breastfeeding Peer Support Provider, but training for this, and as a doula, will be provided at no cost to the applicant.
